About Us

We are Christian individuals who look to the Scriptures for an understanding of our Heavenly Father's plan for mankind, comfort and strength in daily life, and an understanding of the events of the world around us.

We meet regularly to study the Bible, to worship, to share thoughts and study helps, and to encourage one another. In some cases (especially where distance makes meeting difficult) we also meet online.

We offer Bible study helps, publications, and informal Bible-related conversations—without charge and without obligation.

Pastor Russell

We value the writings of Charles Taze Russell (commonly known as Pastor Russell) as Bible study aids, while continuing to test all things by the Scriptures.

The Seven Churches and the Present Time

Bible Students commonly understand the messages to the seven churches (Revelation 2–3) to represent seven successive stages in the history of the Christian Church, with the Laodicean stage corresponding to the closing period of the Gospel Age.

In this view, “angel” can be understood as “messenger” (compare Revelation 1:1), and the Lord's message to Laodicea is especially meaningful for those living in the closing stage of the Church's experience.

The Seventh Trumpet

In Russell's writings the “seventh trumpet” is treated as symbolic—an ongoing proclamation connected with the harvest work, and the “angels” are understood as messengers who carry the Lord's Word and gather the elect.

Note: Many Bible Students have regarded Pastor Russell as the messenger associated with the Laodicean period, though he did not promote such a title for himself. You are welcome to read and test all things by the Scriptures.
